We worked in partnership with TEAM Tourism and Technopolis (Turkey) to formulate a competitive strategy for the Diyarbakir district. This included tourism development, marketing and insitutional proposals.
Diyarbakir is an ancient walled city in Northern Mesopothamia. The impressive wall is build from volcanic basalt and the city overlooks the Tigrus Valley. The rest of the district is home to various ancient and historical sites and the landscapes are impressive. Various proposals were put forward for developments in and aorund the wall, in the river valley and elsewhere in the district. The strategy proposes a community-based approach to tourism development and promotion.
