Namaqua –West Coast is the new marketing name for the Matzikama area and the municipality, tourism industry, wine route, chamber of commerce and mining sector have joined forces in developing and promoting the area.
The Journey formulated a 5-year tourism strategy for the Matzikama Municipality, located on South Africa’s West Coast. The Municipality subsequently commissioned us to provide advice and technical support in implementing the strategy. The first phase of the support program entails the formulation of a by-law for establishing a new public-private tourism organization, advice in appointing Directors, job descriptions for personnel, administrative procedures, etc. The next phases will entail marketing implementation support.
