SNV has been working at destination level in Ethiopia and is building the capacity of its officers and project managers on the ground to deal with tourism.
The 3-day course focused on all aspects of marketing a destination, including strategy, market research, positioning, branding, product development, market segmentation, e-marketing , etc. Participants were grouped together per destination i.e. Addis Ababa, South Region and Bahir Dar and had to work out their own proposals as a basis for their business plans and budgets for the next three years.
